By acting quickly you can help us help you.

Because a dental emergency can happen at any time of day, taking these precautions and acting quickly will give you a higher chance of recovery.

If your tooth gets knocked out, it is very important that you go to Carmel Professional Dentistry by Carolyn Crowley Correll, DDS in South Charlotte, NC immediately to be treated by one of our cosmetic dentists. If you come within 30 minutes of your dental emergency, your chance of saving the tooth is very high.

Please Note: It is important that you do not rub or clean the tooth that has fallen out. Do not touch the root of the tooth, only the crown. You may rinse it with saliva, milk, or salt water and place it inside the socket. Hold it in place until you arrive at our office.

If you chip or fracture your tooth, you should visit Carolyn Crowley Correll DDS in South Charlotte as soon as possible. This will reduce the risk of infection and the loss of your tooth. If you are bleeding, do not apply pressure to the actual tooth. Only apply pressure with a clean cloth over your gums. Rinse your mouth with warm water and apply a cold compress over the surrounding gums, not the tooth, to reduce swelling. If you find the piece of tooth that has been chipped off, rinse it with saliva, milk, or salt water and bring it with you to our office. If you bring it in right away, you have a higher chance of reattaching the piece of tooth.

Time is the number one factor for saving your teeth in a dental emergency. Get to Carolyn Crowley Correll DDS in South Charlotte immediately and you will have a higher chance for saving your teeth and your smile. Our professional staff will treat you with the utmost care to make your emergency as smooth as possible and return you back to normal!

“I left my prior dentist of over 30 years when they couldn't fit me in to fix a broken tooth the week of our daughter's wedding. A friend recommended Dr. Carolyn Crowley Correll. Her staff worked me in immediately and they crowned my tooth with the permanent crown in just three days. They are amazing and I can't recommend them highly enough.”
